Apocalypse Nigh
A long journey has finally come to and end, and I can finally celebrate the conclusion of the Chains of Promathia, and I’m very happy with the results.
Esha’ntarl came to me with some really disturbing news yesterday about the imminent reincarnation of the Keeper of the Apocalypse. She told me that Ulmia had agreed to sing the Lay of the Immortals, and that we should meet up with her in the Tavnazian Safehold.
My linkshell had several people volunteering to help out for our last stand against the evil bad guys who don’t know when to stop. We were getting a bit tired of having to clean up the mess of the two brothers, Eald’narche and Kam’lanaut.
I had originally planned on going as a White Mage, but my linkshell wanted me to go as a Paladin instead, so I wasn’t entirely sure if we’d make it or not. I don’t consider myself a good tank yet, but this was a good chance to prove that I could take a beating.
In addition to my Paladin, we had a Ninja, a Blue Mage, a White Mage a Red Mage and a Samurai coming. Our goal was to deal as much damage in as little time as possible to defeat the youngest of the two brothers, Eald’narche. Eald’narche is very proficient in the ways of black magic, so our Red Mage was prepared to chainspell stunning attacks to put Eald’narche out of commission. Meanwhile, our Samurai and Blue Mage went all out and made sure the mean boy got put to rest.
Kam’lanaut was a tad harder, and he hit very hard too. My Sentinel helped a lot, but the ability only lasts so long, and once it wore off Kam’lanaut showed his rage by slapping me around. But, as a Paladin I have one more trick up my sleeve: Invincible. With this in effect his attacks didn’t hurt me at all, but the people around me got struck by the various attacks that were aimed at me. The Blue Mage and the White Mage died, but we won.
We were so happy, having beat the two Zi’lartian brothers. And we had stopped the impending doom, that is the Apocalypse Nigh.
Now I can look back at the time I’ve spent in Tavnazia and sea. I’ve met some really nice people along the way, including Prishe and Ulmia. Some may call them an odd combination, but I found them very pleasant — although Prishe can be a little tiring at times I guess. I’m sure Tenzen and Louverance are nice people, but I never really got to know them, and I never completely trusted them either.
