A Generous Gift

I have some very good friends looking after me. Recently I haven’t had much money to spend, so I’ve had to put things either on hold or just forget about it completely.

The other day my good friend Galadrial gave me a Haubergeon as a gift, which I felt really bad about because it’s an expensive item. I appreciate the gift, but I feel so bad about people using all their savings on little me. I guess I don’t feel that I’m worthy of such treatment.

Today, as I was dozing off in Jeuno, Galadrial asked me to come down to Kuftal Tunnel to help her camp Cancer. I made my way to Kuftal and met up with Galadrial and her Monk friend. They were skilling up Guard at the time, so I helped curing them.

She asked me to reach out my paws, which I did. When I saw her pull out 35 ancient beastcoins from her pouch I put my paws down and told her I couldn’t possibly accept such a gift. Now, I’m not saying I’m good with mathematics, I’m not, but getting over half a million worth of coins was just a little too much for me to accept.

She ended up forcing them down in my paws after all though, which made me feel even more badly about myself. I know it’s just a gift, but it sure affects my self esteem. It makes me wonder if writing that list was such a good idea after all.

With 75 ancient beastcoins in hand, though, I could now pick up my new:
